Join Alabama Audubon for a bird-watching walk as part of their Nature at Noon series.
Every month, Alabama Audubon offers an hour-long, Friday lunchtime walk that explores different natural areas across the state. In February, they will be at Red Mountain Park. On this excursion, the group will travel from the park’s Venice Road entrance along the slope of the mountain, scanning the skies for hawks and searching the forest edges and scrub for songbirds that call this area home for winter. As always, birders of all skill levels are welcome to join!
Accessibility: Expect up to .5 miles on gravel, pavement, and hard-packed dirt. The trail will have slight uphill and downhill changes. Benches and portable restrooms will be on site. This event is suitable for wheelchair, walkers, and cane users.
