Community Partner Programs

Each year, Jefferson County Greenways (JCG) collaborates with select community groups and organizations to help connect community members with their local greenspaces through intentional partnerships and thoughtful programming.

Thanks to generous support from the Independent Presbyterian Church and The Ascienzo Family Foundation we are able to offer these programs free of charge to participating partners.

These Community Partner Programs are designed to meet the needs of our partner organizations , often taking many forms. In the past, programs have consisted of field trips across our greenspaces, guided hikes catered to the needs of individual groups, off-site educational programs, volunteer and service learning opportunities, and artist collaborations.

More Information

  • The group or organization must be located within Jefferson County.
  • Applications for partnerships are open February 1 -  March 31.
  • Community Partner Programs occur during February, August, November, and December. 
  • Partnership opportunities are limited and based on JCG capacity, scheduling limitations, and available funding.
  • Community partner organizations will be expected to complete post-program surveys and provide program testimonials after completion of programs. 
  • Although program costs are covered, transportation costs are the responsibility of the partner organization.

JCG  collaborates with groups and organizations that serve historically underserved and underresourced communities.
