Kick off the year in nature! Welcome the new year with a rejuvenating hike to Grace’s Gap Overlook at Red Mountain Park. Learn about Red Mountain Park’s fascinating winter flora and fauna and explore the mountain's mining history. Lace up your boots and begin 2026 on the right foot!

‍Accessibility: This family-friendly hike covers 4 miles over 3 hours. There will be rest stops along the way. The hike will be on a dirt trail with small rocks and roots, featuring easy-to-moderate uphill and downhill changes. There are portable restrooms at the start and end of the hike.

Bring a full water bottle, and hot tea, cocoa, or coffee if you’d like. Wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy, closed-toe shoes.
