Are you passionate about Ruffner Mountain? Do you enjoy connecting with people and talking about your weekend go-to spots at Ruffner? Are you looking for an easy, passive yet impactful way to support Ruffner Mountain and the Jefferson County Greenways as a whole? Consider joining us on Saturday, September 13th from 9:00 to 12:00 pm at our Ruffner pavilion space to learn more about what this recurring Saturday and Sunday volunteer position entails. What you can expect from this orientation/training is a crash course of information including hand-outs of basic park information, FAQ's to expect from visitors, and historical preserve facts and stories you'll be able to inform visitors about.
We'll also discuss the format of this volunteer position, available shifts, and the pertinent resources that will be at your disposal. We will plan to have coffee, donuts, and fresh fruit for everyone so please try to arrive on time so we can get started promptly.
