A hiking trail nestled between two forested ridges

Whatever brings you here, these places are here for you.

Red Mountain Park, Ruffner Mountain, and Turkey Creek Nature Preserve are here today because people like you care enough to protect them.

These are places where Vermilion Darters dash between the feet of families splashing in the creek, frost flowers bloom around trail-runners on an early-morning outing, and Tricolor Bats emerge from the mines that bring students to learn about our community history.

Jefferson County Greenways works to connect you and your neighbors to more than 3,500 acres of these wild places. Imagine Jefferson County without these beautiful greenspaces in our backyard - and imagine what we can protect together.

These places are here for you when you need them. See what it takes to preserve these places that support you and so many others in our community. Will you donate today?
