Hello!
We're thrilled to invite you to our collaborative program with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES). This is a two part program for those wanting to volunteer with us; the first component will be a walk & talk (from 8:00 to 9:00am) lead by our Land & Water Conservation Director, Charles Yeager, and ACES staff, and the second component will be the workday in which we will remove as much East Asian Privet as we can within a designated area between a 2 to 2 and half hour timeframe. The walk & talk will cover identifying nonnative, invasive plants, discussing effective methods for how to treat them, visiting units where we've treated invasive plant species, etc..
If you're interested in learning more about how you can effectively ID and treat invasives on your property or simply just want to learn more about our unique ecosystems and how to be a good steward of them, click the registration below to come volunteer!
