Jefferson County Greenways Native Plant Sale happening in October
Fall is the perfect time to plant. And we've got you covered with the Jefferson County Greenways Native Plant Sale, held every Saturday in October from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ruffner Mountain. JCG members can shop early on Oct. 3 at 8 a.m.
The cool temps and fall moisture during October help plants establish strong roots before the summer heat sets in, requiring less water on the front end. Plus, when spring arrives, you'll see the benefits because the plants had a head start.
The Jefferson County Greenways Native Plant Sale offers a wide variety of native plants to choose from. Knowledgeable staff and volunteers are ready to help you select the perfect plants for your locations.
