Fall is the perfect time to plant native species, and Jefferson County Greenways' Fall Native Plant Sale at the Ruffner Mountain Greenhouse has a large inventory to choose from. Cooler temperatures, warm soil, and autumn rains create ideal conditions for strong root development, giving plants a head start before spring.

Volunteer and Support Local Conservation

We need volunteers to help make the plant sale a success! Shifts are available each Saturday in October. No experience is needed.

Volunteer Perks include morning coffee to start your shift, free lunch and cold drinks, one free native plant per shift. Plus, you get to connect with fellow plant lovers and support local conservation!
